Exclusive Interview with Ismail Haniyeh

Exclusive Interview with Ismail Haniyeh
Ismail Haniyeh، the political chief of Palestine's resistance movement، Hamas، was elected as the Prime Minister of the Palestinian National Authority in 2006. He is one of the Palestinian politicians who is constantly at war against the Zionist Regime and has gone through much hardship in this way. He was frequently arrested by the Zionist Regime's security forces and incarcerated because of his anti-Zionist activities in Gaza. In 1992، he was sent to exile to Merj Alzohur in south Lebanon along with 415 other revolutionaries and Hamas members. Haniyeh was close to Sheik Ahmad Yassin، the founder of Hamas and was also the head of Sheik al-Mujahedin's political office. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from the Prime Minister's office a year after his election at the height of the Fatah-Hamas conflict; however، he is still one of the famous and influential figures in Palestine. He disagrees with America's approaches regarding the future of Palestine and is ready to do anything to oppose America's last initiative، known as Deal of the Century. He has recently emphasized in a letter to the heads of the Islamic countries and Arabic and Islamic institutions' chairmen on the necessity of their serious and decisive confrontation with America's newest plot against the Palestinians. Haniyeh draws attention to the nullity of all the terms mentioned in the Deal of the Century and considers it a crime. He has invited the leaders of all Arabic and Islamic countries to object to any decision which may violate Palestinians' historical and legal rights. He believes that the future of this conflict between Palestine and the Zionist Regime would be in favor of the brave Palestinian people since the leaders of this regime has lost the initiative to react to Palestinian fighters and is gradually losing power. Following a meaningful decision، Haniyeh visited Tehran to take part in martyr Commander Soleimani's funeral and called this brave commander in his speech a Qods martyr and said: "He spent his whole life protecting the Palestinians and the suppressed people of the region."
The Tehran Foreign Policy Studies Quarterly visited Haniey in Tehran and had a substantial interview with him.
